Our Story
• In 2020, Markus Kotz fell ill with COVID-19, which turned into a severe case of Long COVID.
• In 2021, Markus was one of the first patients in the world to receive treatment for Long COVID from Dr. Beate Jaeger, utilizing apheresis procedures and a combination therapy.
• After Markus’s recovery, he founded the Apheresis Association while also volunteering at Dr. Jaeger’s clinic, coordinating information exchange between apheresis clinics and setting up research on microclots.
• In 2022, Markus and his friend Constantinos Georgiou opened the Apheresis Center in Larnaca.
• Ever since, we have successfully treated hundreds of patients with Long COVID and Post-Vax conditions.
• Following the excellent results achieved among Long COVID patients, we have treated individuals suffering from post-viral and bacterial infections since 2023.
